President, Wildcat Management
Tanya Ragan doesn’t just develop buildings. She reshapes neighborhoods. As the founder and president of Wildcat Management, Tanya has spent nearly two decades breathing new life into historic properties and overlooked districts across Dallas and beyond. Her work fuses economic impact with authentic character, transforming forgotten structures into vibrant community assets.
Her career began unconventionally, leveraging the proceeds from oil and gas deals to purchase land in rural Texas. From there, she scaled into strip centers and ultimately acquired entire blocks in downtown Dallas. One pivotal moment came when a family she worked with offered her a property in Fort Worth, then casually mentioned they also had a block in Dallas. That offer redirected her focus and future toward downtown redevelopment.
Tanya’s reputation as a hands-on, fearless leader emerged early. Known as “the closer” during her years in oil and gas, she built a reputation for outworking everyone in the room. She brings that same tenacity to her real estate ventures, especially in preserving Dallas’s architectural history. Her relocation and restoration of the Liberty Bank Building, slated for demolition and moved brick by brick, epitomizes her commitment to legacy, vision, and grit.
Today, she continues to lead urban revitalization efforts across North Texas and her hometown in Minnesota. But the spotlight often returns to her Dallas projects, particularly her nearly 20-year crusade to restore the city’s core through historic preservation and community-first planning.
“I don’t just build,” Tanya says. “I curate experiences that matter.”
